Flew into Seattle yesterday for a meeting then turned around and flew back home from Seattle to Nashville today. So yeah I'm tired like most everyone else standing in line at the car rental waiting for the shuttle bus. Now the line is long.

When I got in line 2 buses came for pick up and I still was in line but would make the next bus. All good. Then here comes the family. Mom, dad, grandma and 3 kids. With all the luggage for six plus a stroller and car seats.

OMG honey look at the line we are going to miss our flight. Mom runs to front of the line and asks if they can get in front. They are running so late and would really appreciate it. The employee says sorry no you will need to wait at the end like everyone else.

Mind you, the rest of family is just standing there. Have not gotten in line yet. So more people are coming and line is obviously getting longer.

The lady starts walking along the line asking if they can bump in front and people keep saying no. Just before she got to where I was she asks this guy and his response was awesome. He said

instead of begging people who arrived timely and have been patiently waiting I would suggest you just join the end of the line because at least 10 more groups

of people have arrived after you and are now ahead of you. She was livid. Face got red and I thought we were going to see a blow up but the dad grabbed her and headed to the back of the line.

Needless to say she was very unhappy and when the bus we were on pulled away we could see her arguing or in a heated conversation with the dad. Do hope they made their flight but have feeling it was a bad travel day for that family.

TrifleMeNot 14h ago It's also not fair for someone in line to give up their place to this family without the consent of every single person behind them.

of people larger than the capacity of 2 buses there are others who planned equally well and ran into an equally uncontrollable, unexpected, and unfortunate event that put them behind schedule, too.

do this once because the train was down and construction at every walk about through out the whole airport. But guess what, I still made it with minutes to spare (I have not idea how I managed that one).

THE_Lena · 10h ago I was putting my cash/wallet away when a woman had the audacity to reach over me to hand the cashier her item. She said she was running late. I quietly told her, "You should've left your house earlier."
